New Book: Android for iOS Developers – A Step by Step Guide, First Edition

Today I’m announcing the immediate availability of my third book: Android for iOS Developers – A Step by Step Guide, First Edition.

This book aims to help iOS developers find their way in the world of Android development. Available in DRM-free PDF, HTML, EPUB and Kindle formats, includes downloadable code files, with projects ready to build and execute. Read it in any device, without restrictions! The bundled source code includes 46 projects with over 8000 lines of Java code, ready to be opened, executed and extended with Android Studio, including a small introduction to Kotlin!

The book is dedicated to Daniel Steinberg, an incredible teacher, a fantastic friend and someone who has always inspired me to write more and better.

Android for iOS Developers – A Step by Step Guide, First Edition is available in the AKOSMA Store for 50 CHF (tier 1 countries), 37 CHF (tier 2) and 28 CHF (tier 3), with a 15% discount until January 31st! For more information about the store country tiers, please check this article.

Introducing the AKOSMA Training Store

I have just published the first version of the AKOSMA Training Store at, which will feature my production of training material and sessions. To celebrate the opening of the store, all items in the store have a 15% off discount until the 31st of January!

The most important feature of the store is country tiers per HDI. I want to make my material as accessible as possible to developers throughout the world, while at the same time building a sustainable business. So I have decided to have three price tiers in the store, based on the Human Development Index published by the United Nations Development Programme. My aim is to help developers wherever they are, providing them with interesting, entertaining material to learn more about software development and mobile applications.

Zürich Peer Lab

This is a first in Switzerland: the opening of the Zurich Peer Lab, inspired by Ash Furrow’s and Orta Therox’s own Peer Lab idea – a place to help each other, absolutely informally, open to all kinds of software development ideas. Just come and share a cup of coffee with us, talk about code, brag about your latest idea, find your next job, ask questions, get help in specific problems. The idea is to help each other and to get to know each other better.

RSVP on and see you there!
